Crucial Trading Seagrass Flooring
Seagrass was one of the first ranges Crucial Trading introduced and remains a firm favourite. The Seagrass fibre is harder than the fibres in other Crucial Trading ranges, making the weave patterns more distinctive.
Seagrass is grown in the paddy fields of China. These fields are seasonally flooded with seawater, before being harvested. The Seagrass is then dried and spun into a strong yarn. This inherently waxy fibre is water and stain resistant, and is consequently difficult to dye. The Fine Seagrass is slightly greener as it is harvested earlier.
